This JAVA applet simulates the motion of an atom in a container. A vector representation of the instantaneous velocity,c, of the atom and the x and y components, c_x and c_y, of the velocity are displayed in a separate window. The instantaneous values of c_x and c_y also appear on the surface of the atom. Click the button to begin the animation, and click the button to end the animation.
