Martin Chemistry Building

The Chemistry Department occupies a four-story, 23,000 square foot building. The department is housed in the Martin Chemical Laboratory. The third and second floors of the building were renovated, at a cost of $1.5 million, in 1996 and 1997. The building features modern, air-conditioned laboratories with excellent ventilation and safety features, comfortable lecture halls, a chemistry library, and good study facilities.
Chemistry Library

A 9,000+ volume chemistry library is housed in the Martin Chemical Laboratory. It includes complete runs of Chemical Abstracts and other major reference works. On-line computer searches of the chemical literature are available. Chemistry majors may obtain keys to the chemistry building and to the chemistry library.
Chemistry Computer Lab

The Chemistry Department also boasts a computer lab featuring 10 Dell Optiplex computers. Each computer has all the programs necessary for any chemistry course, including Mathematica, MathCAD, Gaussian03W, and Spartan. Any student enrolled in a chemistry course is welcome to use the lab during the hours that the Chemistry Building is open.
