B.S. in Mathematics and Chemistry, Eastern New Mexico University, 1989; Ph.D. in Material Science-Chemical Physics, Washington State University, 1994; Post-Doc, University of North Carolina -Chapel Hill, 1994-96.

Research interests:
Photophysical studies of bioinorganic light-harvesting peptides, optical spectroscopy, and relativistic effects in heavy metal, inorganic complexes.

Teaching interests:
Introductory chemistry for non-science majors, physical chemistry, and quantum mechanics.
